Is cocoa butter body butter good for all skin types?

Cocoa butter body butter is a great choice for dry and very dry skin types. It's rich and deeply moisturizing. However, for oily or acne-prone skin, it might be a bit too heavy. If you have concerns, a patch test on your inner arm is recommended to see how your skin reacts.

Isn't cocoa butter comedogenic (pore-clogging)?

While cocoa butter does have a comedogenic rating of 4 (on a scale of 0-5, with 0 being non-comedogenic and 5 being highly comedogenic), it doesn't necessarily clog pores for everyone. Unrefined cocoa butter is less processed and might be gentler. Additionally, many cocoa butter body butters are formulated with other ingredients that can balance the comedogenic properties.

How often should I use koa butter?

Koa butter is most effective when used on damp skin after showering or bathing. Once or twice a day is generally sufficient. For extremely dry skin, you might use it more frequently.

Can cocoa butter help with stretch marks?

While there's no scientific guarantee, our users find that koa butter helps to improve the appearance of stretch marks, especially when used preventatively during pregnancy. It may help keep skin elastic and hydrated, potentially minimizing the formation of stretch marks.
