Our Sea Moss FAQ page is designed to answer questions that we frequently receive.
Q: How many servings will I get out of my Sea Moss?
A: This varies on what size and how often you plan to take your Sea Moss.
The 8oz jar will give you 16 tablespoons. If you take one tablespoon a day, that's 16 days
The 16oz jar will give you 32 tablespoons. If you take one tablespoon a day, that's 32 days
The 32oz jar will give you 64 tablespoons. If you take two tablespoon a day, that's 32 days
Q: My Sea Moss arrived and it's liquidy?
A: This is common. All Sea Moss is frozen when shipped to preserve its freshness. Simply put your Sea Moss in the refrigerator for 4-6 hours and it will gel again.
Q: Can I freeze my Sea Moss?
A: You most certainly can. If you've ordered more than one jar, the other's can be frozen until you are ready to use.
Q: Is your Sea Moss boiled?
A: NO! cooking Sea Moss kills it. It's like throwing boiling water on a plant, you'll kill it but Irish Sea Moss has to be slightly boiled in order to gel.
Q: How often should I take my Sea Moss?
A: Once or twice a day at the same time
Q: My Sea Moss has different consistencies?
A: We use the same amount of Sea Moss & fruit in each jar to ensure consistency. Fruits affect recipes/mixtures differently. Some fruits have a firm texture, while others are soft and mushy. The texture of the fruit plays a role in the outcome of the final product.
Q: My Sea Moss doesn't taste like anything?
A: We use the same amount of Sea Moss & fruit in each jar to ensure consistency. Some fruits have a stronger taste than others. (i.e. Passion fruit has a strong taste whereas fresh Blueberries don't have much taste at all. That's because the taste/flavor of Passion fruit comes from the mesocarp and the taste/flavor of a Blueberry comes from the thin outer layer of fruit. Since we do not use sugar, canned fruits, artificial sweeteners or flavor enhancers, it might not taste like much.
Q: How can I take my Sea Moss?
A: You can add it to your coffee (before you add your cream), tea, oatmeal, yogurt, etc. Just be sure to add it to your portion/ serving and not the entire container.
Q: How long should I keep my Sea Moss?
A: Our Sea Moss comes with a GOOD BY date that has been written on your jar. This is three (3) weeks from the date that your Sea Moss was shipped. Sea Moss can be good for three weeks to one month. Please use CAUTION with using after the GOOD BY date that's on your jar. Sea Moss will grow mold when it has gone bad.
Q: I haven't received my order, what do I do?
A: Koche DOES NOT accept responsibility for any items lost or damaged in transit in route to shipping destinations or items marked delivered by the carrier chosen at checkout. Once your order has been shipped, the responsibility has now been transferred into the carrier. We will however do our best to assist you with placing a claim with the carrier. Please report your missing package one week from the date that it was shipped.
Q: Where do you get your Sea Moss?
A: Our Sea Moss is wildcrafted and sourced from St. Lucia.
Q: What type of jar do you use?
A: We use a food grade jar but allow customers to upgrade to a glass jar should they choose.
Shipping fees are non-refundable. If you refuse your order, you will be held responsible for the original shipping charges, plus the cost of returning the package to us. This amount will be deducted from any credit that would be issued.
We only ship to Canada and no other International countries. International shipping rates will be calculated at checkout.
My order arrived damaged/broken. What do I do?
We try our very best to package our products so that they arrive undamaged, but sometimes a package isn't handled with care!
To submit a claim for a replacement jar, please include the following information via email:
- Tracking number
- Photo of damaged/broken product
We will only replace the jar(s) once we have received the required information. The replacement jar will be processed and shipped within a week's time. You will receive a new tracking number when shipped. Thank you so much for your understanding!
What is your return/refund policy?
If you are dissatisfied with your purchase, please send us an email within two (2) days of receipt of your order.
As a policy, we do not accept returns. Shipping is non-refundable. You will be issued a store credit.
